“And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion.” ~al-Bayyinah (98):5~

A Muslim is required to devote themselves sincerely to Allah alone, in ways prescribed in the Qur’an and in the manner taught by the Prophet SAW. In our current environment, with all the technological advancements and worldly distractions, sincerity is a difficult thing to achieve for a Muslim in their devotion to Allah. It is a matter which is solely in the heart, invisible to the eyes.

Sh. Umar Sulayman al-Ashqar elucidates what it means to be sincere and how Muslims can achieve sincerity in worship. May Allah SWT guide us all to be sincere worshippers worthy of His Pleasure in this life and the Hereafter.
